You wouldn't drive your car with a blindfold on.

Because you wouldn't be able to see where you were going.

That would be crazy.

You'd probably crash.

Damage your car, or worse, yourself.

It would cost you money and cause you so much stress.

But that's exactly what you're doing if you're running your business without using your numbers.

You can't see where you're going.

You can't see where you've been.

You don't even know how you're going to deal with the next turn in the road.

When you use your numbers, you get rid of that blindfold.

Then you can steer in the direction you actually want to go, rather than just speeding along and hoping you won't crash.

Are you confident?

I had an amazing time at the Socially Shared Womens Business Support Network Conference on Friday.

The theme this year was confidence, but the choice of speakers surprised me.

They were ordinary women. But with extraordinary stories.

Women who've done amazing things and overcome significant challenges, and found confidence they didn't know they had.

We learned that confidence isn't a feeling, it is something that builds after you take action.

And we learned the kind of action that can get us closer to a feeling of confidence.

As someone who often projects confidence, but mostly doesn't feel it, this really hit home.

I was proud to be a sponsor and meet some amazing women there.

Well done to Karen Heap and her team for arranging such an amazing event. ❤️

Friday is the 8th Annual Conference for Socially Shared Womens Business Support Network.

The theme this year is 'Confidence' and I know that there are some amazing speakers lined up.

Sometimes you do things that make you feel like a proper grown up...

Last year I got a last minute invite to the annual conference.

I was feeling uncharacteristically impulsive so I went along.

And I'm so glad I did.

I reconnected with so many amazing women I'd met over the last decade, and made some new contacts as well.

Great speakers. Great food. Great vibe.
