12 TONNES OF STONE LATER… 👀💪

Being honest, we definitely weren’t expecting this today! 😂

But once we got into our Dickens Heath job, it was clear the base needed topping up — so that’s exactly what we did.

12 tonnes of stone in levelled and now most importantly compacted✅

It’s not always the part of the job you see in the finished photos, but getting the preparation right is what makes all the difference. We’d rather do it properly now than cut corners and have problems later.

And now… we’re ready for the BIG PUSH tomorrow! 🔥

This one is really starting to take shape, and we can’t wait to show you the progress.

Another step forward on this driveway project in Dickens Heath! 👷‍♂️

All of the borders are now set in concrete, giving the driveway a strong, solid edge and helping everything stay neatly in place. The next stage is to bring in more hardcore and compact it thoroughly to create a firm, stable base.

Once that’s done, we’ll be using a reduced layer of sand before moving on to laying the driveway itself. It’s all about getting the preparation right first — a quality finish starts with a properly prepared base.

A very wet one in the end in Dickens Heath! 🌧️

The rain came down hard, so unfortunately I couldn’t give you a full walkthrough at the end of the job today but we still managed to get some progress on camera — including the drain channels being fitted, some of the block borders going in, and a little bit of the usual site banter with the lads!

For us, getting the job done properly is always the priority, but we also believe it should be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We’ve built great relationships with our clients over the years, and it’s always nice to see them enjoying the process too — especially when there’s a bit of laughter and banter along the way.

Another driveway transformation completed in Solihull 👍

For this project, we extended the existing driveway to create more usable parking space and finished it with a smart double border edging. We also installed new drainage channels and a new inspection chamber, neatly disguised within the driveway for a clean, seamless finish.

The double border was laid on a solid concrete bed before the whole driveway was finished with two layers of quality tarmac, giving it a strong, durable and professional finish.

It’s always great to see a happy customer, and this one came with a big thumbs up from the client! 👌

Our driveway project well underway in Dickens Heath! 👷‍♂️

We’ve completed the dig-out and removed all the waste, getting the area properly prepared for the next stage of the project. We’ve also installed the ducting ready for future electric vehicle charging points and electric gates, helping to make sure everything is planned and in place before the new driveway goes down.

We’ve also dug out and installed a new soakaway to help manage surface water and improve drainage across the area.

It’s all about doing the groundwork properly from the start, so the finished driveway looks great and is built to last.

A busy day in Dickens Heath today! 🚜

The digger has been in full swing as we get stuck into the excavation for this new driveway. With the ground being dug out, grab wagons coming and going, and plenty of material being shifted, there’s a lot happening on site!

We’ve also been digging out ready for the ducting — but what’s that for? 👀 You’ll have to keep watching to see how it all comes together!

Before the digger moves in, careful preparation comes first. 👷‍♂️

We’ve started a new driveway project in Dickens Heath, and the first job is making sure everything is safe, clear and ready.
