Calling all business owners near to Benfleet!

The Castlepoint Business Growth Forum is holding a visitors day, on Wednesday (2nd July) - and we are currently looking for:

A Virtual Assistant, a Photographer, an Event's Organiser, a Builder, a Gardner, a Marquee Company and an Estate Agent, amongst other businesses.

The visitors day is free to attend, but we only allow one member from each business category, so please contact us to see if your business is already represented.

We currently have around 30 members, and pass between £10,000 to £15,000 of business each week as referrals.

The meeting is at Boyce Hill Golf Club in Benfleet, starts at 6.45am with informal networking, breakfast at 7.15am, formal agenda from 7.30am, and meeting concludes at 8.30am.

We're a business group, and our focus is on Support, Mentorship, Recognition, Training and Referrals - we look to help each of our businesses grow.

Another great meeting at Business Growth Forum this morning.

Tony Crone of KAT Master Locksmiths - Essex gave us a fantastic presentation on his 32 year career and the growth and expansion of his family run business which has been securing people’s buildings and valuables since the early 1990’s.

KAT Locksmiths are experienced in all aspects of locks and security, offering security installations, emergency lock opening and burglary repairs, access control systems, insurance surveys, and burglary prevention.

Tony believes the secret to their success is that their work is carried out to the highest standards with fantastic customer service, meaning customers not only return but also recommend KAT.

The 60 second award was won by Gary Smith of Supreme Carpets and Blinds Ltd for his pitch about blinds and shutters to provide shade on the sunniest day of the year.

Another great meeting at Business Growth Forum.

This week Paul Cutmore from Hair & Sons won the 60 seconds for his pitch about the Auction process.

We had a fab 10 minute presentation from Tim Chamberlin Tim Chamberlin Mortgages of Zing Mortgages - who is the mortgage & protection advisor of the group, discussing current interest rates for residential & buy to let mortgages, along with bridging finance options and protection.

Tim advised that the lenders economists are indicating an expected 2 further base rate cuts this year of 0.25% and potentially further 2 or 3 cuts next year of 0.25% , meaning the base rate could potentially be around 3.25% - 3.5%.

Another great meeting at BGF!

This week Debbie Lloyd of Not Just Travel won the 60 seconds for her pitch on the impact of social media for her business. Debbie also spoke about what she covers in her content and how members can increase her following.

We also had a fantastic 10 minute presentation by Graham of GB Pinder Ltd who showed us some fantastic local build projects his firm have completed and the success of his business being based on "honesty and transparency".

Another great meeting today at BGF, with plenty of business passed.

Today's presentation was by David Brandajs, Chartered Surveyor from Hair & Son telling us all about his role and what he has to offer. David has been working for Hair & Son in the professional department since the age of 22, having become a fully qualified valuation surveyor at the age of 26. He now leads the department alongside his colleague Laurence Cox (Partner of Hair & Son).

The 60 second pitch was won by John Hopwood of JAL Safety for his pitch about asbestos consultancy.

Plenty of business passed this week with top three performers being Kerry Ann of PBATS, Practical Bookkeeping, Accounting and Taxation Services (1), Wayne Mearns of Sea View Property (2) and John Hopwood of JAL Safety Consultancy (3).

Another great meeting this week with Gary Smith from Supreme Carpets and Blinds Ltd and Shutters by Suzanne giving us a interesting insight into his business.

Gary has been working in the carpet and flooring industry since he was just 17. Aged 23 he became the youngest manager at Allied Carpets, and soon got the bug to go solo and set up "Supreme Carpets and Blinds".

The business has now been operating for over 30 years and offers commercial and residential quality flooring, blinds and shutters. Please contact them for a shop at home service where samples can be brought to the home or office, or simply pop to the showroom.

Fantastic meeting yesterday, with Dwight Breley of Breley Design winning the 60 seconds for his pitch about the great architectural support he provides his clients.
