Welcome to our first addition of Freebie Friday.

Here we will give you free tips to help keep your white goods working for longer.

Because we use our washing machines at lower temperatures, and most of the detergent we use now is either gel packs or liquid, black mold is now becoming a big issue.

Simple tips to help fight the build up;

1. Have a look inside the soap dispenser, and see if it is dirty or black. Remove it and wash regularly in hot soapy water.

2. At the end of a wash, leave the soap dispenser pulled out until it is dry.

3. Wipe down the inside of the glass door with a dry cloth.

4. Wipe round the inside of the drum rubber with a dry cloth, and leave the door open until it is dry.

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the maximum temperature can exceed the level stated, causing the plastic and metal parts to warp and melt.

The product has been recalled from end users. Consumers are advised to stop using the product and return it to any The Range or Wilko store for a full refund.
