It's been a hectic couple of months since I last posted anything!
Still taking orders and working away in the studio at the shop in South Street, South Molton.
I'm a bit of a 'Techno not very good'.
Not sure what the current PC term is for it, but whatever that might be, I would definitely be flagged up as belonging to that group.
My phone has been playing up.
Not charging properly, which caused problems taking photos of finished work and taking card payments.
Then my computer at home was running even slower than normal and I had the brilliant idea of running a scan to remove stuff that might be causing the sludge.
Worked brilliantly!
Even wiped out all my stored passwords, including this page and e-mail.
Tried to re-set passwords as I couldn't remember them, which involves outlook sending me a text to my mobile.
I don't have a phone signal at home, so text couldn't ping through.
My phone then got thrown across the room in frustration and is now back to only working when it feels like it.
For the time being, any orders being placed, cash preferred, or direct Bank transfer...
Despite all these glitches, plenty of orders still finding me and apologies to those I haven't featured a photo of their commission. Probably because I don't have one!
Here are a few that were completed whilst my phone was working.
Mostly house signs, but a few Memorials and a pet portrait, with a couple more in progress.
Lister was an additional Memorial to be in a similar style to two previous ones for the same customer.

A couple of orders for the same customer collected earlier this week.
Commemorative plaque for their little girl and a house sign.
I had to do a bit of research for both, as with the plaque, I wanted the flower to be relevant to the name.
It is!
There is a pink double flower lily called Elodie.
Result!
For the house sign, they live in Chichester and wanted significant landmarks of the city incorporated into the design.
They also wanted a Purple Emperor butterfly to feature.
I also added an Elodie lily as a nod to their new daughter and the robin, just because...

Been putting together more stock to sell in the shop.
Haven’t done any pet caricatures in a while, and having just had a delivery of new canvases, thought I’d have a few practice runs.

Back in the shop today, having had last week working from home.
The shop was too hot to work in during the afternoons, with the heatwave, and it was difficult to keep Kai cool.
He’s happier than he looks in the photo to be back in the studio/shop!
Replacement West Trayne sign is now in the shop window and I finally now have a photo of the original sign, which I did at least 5, if not 6 years ago.
Grateful for it’s contribution to building the business, as that sign, despite all the flaws that I have been increasingly irritated by, has provided the starting point for many orders from people wanting a house sign in a similar style.
So,let’s see how this replacement sign does in attracting new orders!

Been working from home this week with the hot weather. Finished several orders including this one.
I had in mind that I needed to update my showpiece shop window display sign of West Trayne.
Did the original, currently in the shop window 5 years ago!
Can't find a photo of it to compare.

Two of three house signs collected today.
Third one is a Birthday present for Saturday, so don’t want to post a picture of it before then, in case the recipient sees it an surprise is spoilt.
Town Farm is High Bickington way and Spun Yarns is here in South Molton, East Street.
