A busy month for me and although it has been hard work, testing and sometimes stressful, I'm not complaining! I've started working with some new incredible Clients in the last few months and the most incredible thing of all is they were completely organic connections on LinkedIn! How and why they reached out to me always makes me smile as well!!

For those who are service based businesses, are you on LinkedIn? But more importantly, are you ACTIVE and ENGAGING on there?

The key to LinkedIn is the human approach! It's like being in a room full of people at a party and not speaking to anyone. You will spend the whole party alone unless someone comes over to you. Bit boring and lonely right? No one even noticing you're there?

Can you afford to wait for that to happen or can you do something about it? Why don't YOU be that person who says 'hi' and starts a convo? How scary can it be? They are only people like you after all!

LinkedIn is the same. It may sound scary to join in talking to people you don't know on threads, posts and messages, but in all fairness, from behind a screen, can it be that bad? The people using the platform are just like you, trying to improve their businesses, work with people, find Clients, refer connections to others and build great relationships! I myself can vouch for this!!

This may seem cheesy but I LOVE Disney... soooo 🤷‍♀️ any excuse and all that! 😉

It's a true statement though! So many people have dreams and more often than not:

❄️ Fear prevents people taking a leap of faith.
🌨️ Negativity from others knocks people's confidence to do what they dream of.
☔ People not realising that THEY are the key and ONLY they matter to get started!!

So... my challenge for anyone procrastinating over something they've 'thought about' doing...

🌈 Brainstorm your ideas
✨ Focus on TWO elements and expand on HOW you can achieve them
⭐ Take a leap of faith and commit to acting on it. Whether that is making a necessary purchase to get going OR simply setting up a social media business page, just DO IT!
☀️ See your confidence/attitude/determination grow simply by doing the above.

YOU are the one you've been waiting for!!

As a small business owner, you are likely to be very protective of your brand, the services you provide and your reputation.

Does the idea of using a VA make you nervous? Letting someone into your business to deal with potentially sensitive information? Does the idea of delegating tasks to someone else, send you into realms of anxiety?

This is all totally normal! Your business is your pride and joy!

Let me however reassure you that as a VA, I totally get that same feeling! I am incredibly precious about the way I do things and so can relate to the way you feel. My business is to support your business and so the last thing I would ever wish to do is damage your business! You are my Client and I don't have a business without you!!

So what things can be put in place for your peace of mind? Here are just a few:

🔐 Security - Passwords do not need to be divulged to me. Lastpass is a great way to share passwords without me knowing what they are. You simply action the invitation to share a platform/email inbox using lastpass and it generates the login for me.

☎️ Communication - We set limitations from the get go as to how/if you would like me to communicate with your Clients/Contacts etc. This will all form a part of our working relationship.

📃 Contract - supporting the above, any stipulations of our working relationship will all form a part of the agreement we have to work together. We are both protected using my specialist Virtual Assistant Contract. This will also be updated with any changes to the relevant laws in the UK when required.

👍 Social Media Approval - should I be taking care of your social media content and scheduling, anything will be approved by you prior to it being shared. I will ask for your written approval, NEVER verbal as I want to ensure I am acting in your best interest.

Doing some designs for a client yesterday and each time you download an image, a little inspirational quote pops up. I usually read and run but this one caught my eye. It made me smile as it's so relevant!

You may find many challenges in life when it comes to your dreams and/or career, all of which seem hard to reach, that you're not worthy of or impossible even!

Well, they're not! Lockdown has proved how many people, given the incentive, are capable of following their dreams and setting up a business! Even if it starts small, at least it's started. It will be hard work and take alot of determination and integrity to build yourself, but you can do it!

It's not impossible once it's done!!

It may be a rainy grey day today, but I love Autumn!

Full of colour, crisp chilly pup dog walks and cosy snuggles watching films on the sofa with hot chocolate.

Enter wholesome comfort foods as well! Looking forward to testing out my slow cooker recipes, especially my red pepper and chilli soup, chicken casserole and slow cooked lamb shank!!

Even more grateful that on days such as this, I can go to work without getting cold and wet... *slinks into the home office to get stuck into emails* 😏

In the past 2 weeks, I've seen my business grow to the point I have more than doubled my guaranteed monthly income! I'm beyond ecstatic!
