Sunday 14th June is Blood Donor Day.

At Churches Fire & Security, we understand just how vital blood donation is and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities across the UK. That's why, in 2024, during a period of urgent demand for blood donors, we proudly launched our Blood Donor Initiative to support colleagues who wanted to make a difference.

Through this initiative, our colleagues are able to take time out during their working day to attend blood donation appointments at their local donation centres. By providing flexibility during clinic operating hours, we aim to remove one of the barriers that can prevent people from donating alongside busy work schedules.

Every blood donation has the potential to save and improve lives. Donated blood supports patients undergoing cancer treatment, people living with blood disorders, individuals recovering from surgery, and those experiencing severe blood loss following accidents or medical emergencies. For many, a blood transfusion is not just beneficial - it is lifesaving.

We are proud to support our colleagues who choose to donate and would like to thank all blood donors for their ongoing generosity and commitment to helping others.

The UK's transition from analogue phone lines (PSTN) to digital services (VoIP) is underway, with all lines due to switch by January 2027.

If your monitored alarm system relies on an analogue telephone line, it may need upgrading to remain operational. Your alarm provider should have contacted you if you're affected, but it's worth checking if you're unsure.
