🔍 EPC reform update: progress… but not quite there yet
The Government’s partial response to the EPC reform consultation confirms that change is coming — including the move to four headline EPC metrics instead of a single cost-based rating.
That’s a positive step. But there are still some notable gaps that risk limiting how useful EPCs can really be — particularly for heritage buildings, HMOs, short-term lets, and in driving the right retrofit decisions.
