And yet another accolade to announce! We're thrilled that Pure HR has been shortlisted for SME Business of the Year at The Business Magazine's Hampshire Business Awards 2026.

Founded in Hampshire in 2012, Pure has grown from one founder to a team of eight, supporting approximately 450 clients with HR, recruitment and training services.

Our growth has been driven by listening to businesses, understanding their challenges and developing practical solutions - from flexible HR support to fixed-fee recruitment and a growing programme of professional training.

We're equally proud of our contribution to the local business community, supporting skills development, creating employment opportunities and helping organisations build better workplaces.

For us, being a successful SME means more than financial performance. It's about growing sustainably, investing in people and making a positive difference to the businesses and communities around us.

Our announcements continue, and a huge congratulations to our Managing Director, Stephanie Fosh, who has been shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year at The Business Magazine's Hampshire Business Awards 2026.

Since founding Pure HR in 2012, Steph has built the business around a simple belief: helping organisations get the best from their people so they can get the best from their business.

With more than 30 years of HR experience, she combines commercial thinking with a genuinely people-focused approach to leadership. Under her direction, Pure has welcomed 56 new clients in the last year, improved its profit margin by 10% and continued to invest in its team, services and specialist expertise.

For Steph, success isn't just about growing a business. It's about creating opportunities for people, finding better ways to solve problems and helping businesses navigate challenges with confidence.

We're delighted to see her leadership recognised and look forward to the awards on Thursday 26th November.

🏆Rounding of the week with a proud announcment! We've been SHORTLISTED for HR Consultancy of the Year at the HR Excellence Awards 2026.

This recognition reflects the work we do alongside our clients to turn complex people challenges into practical business outcomes.

Our entry highlighted a long-term partnership we have with one client, who we supported through a major organisational transformation. Our Senior HR Consultant, Clare Woodley, led the people strategy supporting workforce restructuring and preparations for a potential transfer of its insurance business.

The project helped deliver £350,000 in annual payroll savings and a 25% reduction in operating costs, while retaining 100% of critical employees, maintaining or improving engagement and preserving regulatory compliance and member service.

Crucially, this work balanced commercial objectives with a collaborative and compassionate approach to employees through a period of significant change.

We're proud of the impact our team makes when working closely with clients, and grateful for the trust they place in us.

We were contacted by a company today who had just lost another great candidate 😟.

They were perfect for the role and the business – a unicorn almost – but to put it bluntly, they got tired of waiting and took another offer.

While there are lots of reasons candidates drop out, we often find that long delays, poor communication, too many interview stages and lack of timely feedback are ultimately the most common reasons.

In a competitive market, candidates are assessing you just as much as you're assessing them.

Sometimes recruitment problems aren't recruitment problems at all. They're candidate experience problems.
