We were contacted by the commodore of Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club to replace a damaged glass entrance door as well as some tired timber doors. We spoke with the client to determine exactly what they require and want from the replacement doors. It was noted early on that the timber doors be replaced with metal in order to provide superior durability and longevity.

Southern Glass Services visited the site to take a detailed survey including accurate measurements of the doors as well as noting any obstructions that may affect the removal and installation of the doors. Both single steel doors feature a secure key operated entry from the outside with a push plate fitted on the inside face of the door for easy exit. Each door has been powder coated to a specific RAL colour in keeping with the existing design of the building.

Southern Glass Services installed a pair of aluminium and glass office partitions for Dunns Automotive - ADAS Calibrationn Southampton. After our initial conversations with the customer, we had a strong idea of the type of office partitions they were after and from our site survey we were able to determine accurate measurements and placements for the office partitions.

The office is located on the first floor, so the framework needed to be brought to site in sections to be assembled on site. Once the framework was assembled and secured into position, we began the installation of the glass panels. The office partitions enable them to make the most of their large office space as well as offering privacy.

Southern Glass Services replaced a large, damaged shopfront panel at DFS in Croydon. An initial site survey was conducted in order to determine the exact size, specification and installation method of the glass panel. We then spoke with the client to arrange an installation date and time that would be suitable for them.

We arrived on site early morning to cause the minimum amount of disruption to the operation of the store. Once on site we set up a small scaffold tower next to the window to give us access to the upper section of the glass panel. We arranged for a spider crane to be taken to site to enable us to safely and effectively move the glass panels. Once the replacement panel has been installed our glaziers ensured that it is sealed into place before tooling it off to create a neat finish.

Southern Glass Services removed and replaced a variety of large glass panels on the shopfront for Boots in Croydon. During our initial survey we identified the exact number of panels required replacing as well as taking detailed measurements for each panel and noting the fixing method for each panel. We took extra care to note the number and distance of the holes required in the side of the glass panel.

Once we had an installation date, we then arranged for the access equipment to be ready on site. The spider crane and glass worker machine can take all the weight of the glass panels, which enables our glaziers to effectively guide them into position for securing into place. The work was carried out prior to operating hours to ensure that we did not affect the day-to-day running of the business.

Southern Glass Services Ltd recently completed this replacement door set for a South Coast located customer. The new shop renovation required that the original old worn doors be replaced. Our Surveyor conducted a site visit and consultation with our client to ensure their instructions were interpreted accurately. The door was then bespoke manufactured and installed by one of our excellent fitting teams with a lead in period of 2/3 weeks.The customer now has a new Commercial grade Polyester Powder coated aluminium entrance door with laminated safety glass and high security locking in their chosen design.

Southern Glass Services Ltd recently completed this replacement patio door installation at a location on the South Coast. The install involved awkward access to get the new glass doors into position but with the use of the plant equipment in the images our excellent trained fitters completed the works successfully.
The glass installed are high value Toughened Solar Reflective tinted double glazed units with an interior thermally efficient layers. We managed to match up the glass to other existing glazed areas in our customers property.

Southern Glass doing what it does best!. We attended this Bournemouth location out of hours to remove and replace a damaged shopfront window. Our Excellent Glaziers removed curtain wall cladding and framing to enable this large shopfront window to be replaced and all cladding reinstated. This was carried out prior to the store opening to ensure that Health and Safety procedures were observed as per out site specific RAMS, and their trade for the day was not disrupted or hindered.

Southern Glass Services installed a bespoke steel fire exit door set for KFC in Hampshire. The previous doors and locks had become damaged, which prevented the doors from closing propertly. During our initial site visit we noted the colour of the doors to enable us to match it on our replacement doors. We opeted to extend the door locking to the floor as well as the head of the door for far superior safety. We also installed internal and external kick plates onto the door to enhance durability.

Southern Glass Services were requested to remove and replace a damaged and faulty entrance door by Wi******er Council. We designed a bespoke door and frame system to perfectly fit into the existing opening. There were also certain access requirements to consider, so to not disrupt the users of the building. We allowed for a cylinder lock on the exterior of the door as well as push bar on the interior side of the door for ease of use. We incorporated toughened glass for the windows of the doors and framework for additional safety in compliance with BS6262 and BS6206 safety glass and glazing regulations.

Southern Glass Services were requested to inspect and replace a pair of double fire exit doors for TK Maxx in Southampton. The previous doors in place were mostly wooden construction, which has decayed over time thus preventing the doors from functioning properly. We also powder coated the doors to a specific colour the customer had chosen. As for the glass we installed toughened double-glazed panels as these offer increased impact and acoustic resistance. Finally, we applied a reflective film to the glass to provide additional security to the building.
