Ocean Sports Tuition runs all our RYA courses from our base in Saxon Wharf next door to Shamrock Quay Marina, Southampton. The RYA Intermediate Powerboat Level 3 course is designed for experienced powerboaters who want to build the skills needed to venture into unfamiliar waters.

Over two days, you will develop your knowledge of chart work, tides, weather, position fixing and GPS navigation, alongside practical boat handling including pile moorings and manoeuvring in locks.

Ocean Sports Charter can collect you from Ocean Village or Hamble Point Marina before taking you across the Solent to Colwell Bay. On arrival, The Hut’s tender will take you ashore and deliver you straight to your table. After your meal, you will be collected from the mooring field for the return journey.

Ready to enjoy a jetski with more confidence this summer? 🌊

The RYA PWC Proficiency Course is a practical one-day introduction to safe jetski handling, suitable for complete beginners as well as riders who want to strengthen their existing skills.

The course covers launching and recovery, low and high-speed handling, collision avoidance, capsize recovery and basic passage planning. By the end of the day, you should feel more confident operating a PWC safely in suitable conditions. No previous experience is required, and the course is open to anyone aged 12 or over.
