Neighbourhood help is here to provide friendly help with day-to-day domestic tasks.
We have a team of friendly, local, reliable helpers with training available.
WHAT IS NEIGHBORHOOD HELP?
Neighbourhood Help is a paid for service offering help with domestic day-to-day tasks.
WHAT SERVICES DO WE OFFER?
We offer help with shopping, laundry, preparing light meals, prescription collection, day-to-day tasks & companionship.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Give us a call to arrange a meeting where we will listen to all your individual needs & requirements. Once everyone is satisfied, we will then match you with a Neighbourhood Helper & get your first visit booked in. You will receive a folder that is to be kept accessible to your helper. This is where we keep records of every visit & what we have helped with. It is a place your family & friends can see what services we have been providing during our time with you. We also keep a record any cash transactions or shopping provided. It has a list of handy local services should you need any additional help, & it also contains an accident book for our Neighbourhood helpers whilst they are with you.
WHAT TRAINING DO THE HELPERS HAVE?
All our helpers have completed the Care Certificate, First Aid, Health & Safety, Lone working, COSHH, Working in a person-Centred way, Mental Health, Dementia & learning Disability training. They are also all DBS Clear & are employed with 3 references.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We charge £20 per hour.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF TIME?
A minimum of 2 hours will need to be booked per visit.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO HAVE A NEIGHBOURHOOD HELPER?
You can have a helper as little or as often as you want. Once per week, once a month, once every other week it is up to you.
IS THERE A CONTRACT?
There is a contract that protects you as a customer & us as a business, but you are not tied into any length of service or minimum payments.
HOW DO I PAY?
Invoices are issued & there are bank details on these for an online transfer. Alternatively, you can pay via cheque or cash to your helper. All transactions are logged in your own personal folder.
