Launching Soon...

We've been busy working on a glass design for a new Period door which will be arriving in our showroom very soon.

The door is our first from the Residence Collection to feature in our Period Door product range and as well as this fresh new glass design, it will also showcase top quality door furniture, high security locking system and traditional styled door panels to create the look and feel of an authentic classic door.

New door photos will be posted here soon.. just as soon as we have finished ironing out the last of the colours, textures and bevels we want for the glass unit 😆.

From Aftersales to Author! We are so excited for our very own Brooke, whose upcoming thriller novel will be published on September 25, 2026.

Meet the Team 👋. Let us introduce you to John, the Group's Product Development Manager.

John has worked for the company since its inception in 1993 and if you ask customers and colleagues, they would all agree John knows everything about windows and doors!! We even have one customer that has nicknamed him Johnny Google!

In his own words, John describes his current role as “Challenging! I’m constantly trying to keep up with an ever changing industry to ensure we have the best products to suit our customers”. John looks at quality, performance and appearance (eg authenticity or modern design) of products as well as making sure they suit everybody’s price point. There is also the continuous testing of products to make sure they meet building regulations and third party accreditations.

And when his not working, John likes to jump on his bike and enjoy cycling trips with his friends. He is also a big football fan, following Liverpool predominantly whilst also keeping an eye on local team Southend United.

I've found my new favourite work friend! Couldn't resist grabbing some pics of Chewie the Cockapoo sat next to a recently installed Edwardian door from the Period Door Collection while out photographing.

Who wouldn't want to come home to this door complete with bespoke glass, raised and fielded panels - both sides, and a Chewie dog too 😄

Alu-tec's new brochures have arrived today!

We've been working with aluminium supplier AluK to produce a retail friendly brochure for our customers. This new brochure focuses solely on the products we manufacture here in Southend and has been designed with homeowners in mind. And if any technical information is required there is a QR code on each product page that will take you to a product card/data sheet for the extra information.

The brochure is available to download from the Information Centre in Alu-tec's website if you want to have a little look at it in more detail!

So pleased to learn that Climatec sponsored Jake Gunby secured 2nd place in the British Par 3 Championships at Nailcote Hall last week. A two day tournament where Jake was leading at the end of Day 1 after 18 holes and finished 2nd overall after day 2. If you are interested in watching Jake play, the championships will be aired on Sky in September.

We just want to say a big thank you to all those who supported Emily, Climatec friend(and Sales Manager Dave's daughter, with her expedition to Tanzania. Emily is back in sunny England with lots of stories to tell about the projects she was involved in and the many people she met along the way.

Wow, congratulations to Jake Gunby on his achievements securing his place in the Sky Junior European Open Final later this year! Jake is the son of our Business Development Manager Steve and we've been closely following his progress as he builds on his golfing career.

Jake will now head to Estepona, Spain, where he’ll compete at Alcaidesa Links and La Cañada Club from 23–27 November.

🇪🇸 Spain awaits for Jake Gunby! 🇪🇸

A huge congratulations to Jake Gunby on securing his place in the Sky Junior European Open Final later this year!

The Dereham Golf Club member produced a superb round of 75 (+3) in tough, blustery conditions at Longcliffe Golf Club to claim a top-two finish in qualifying.

Jake will now head to Estepona, Spain, where he’ll compete at Alcaidesa Links and La Cañada Club from 23–27 November.

A fantastic achievement, Jake! everyone at Norfolk County Golf Union wishes you the very best of luck in Spain! 💛❤️🖤
