It's been a while since I posted anything but one of my jobs last week was a repair to this 29 year old Washing Machine. Managed to get it going for my customer to to tie them over.
It's great to work on a machine of this era again as did my training 35 years ago on this style of machine.

The Washing machine was knocking the electrics out every time it was turned on. The heating element had scaled up over the years and needed replacing. Much cheaper to replace the heater than a new Washing machine.

Not often a week goes by and I'm not called out to a Washing Machine not draining the water away because Colour Catchers have slipped down between the drum and Door seal and blocked the pump.
Best to put the colour catcher in a small net bag to stop this from happening

Managed to repair and keep this 23 year old Washing machine running much cheaper than replacing with a brand new machine
