What a beautiful day we had at Southsea Green! ☀️ We want to give a huge thank you to the Co-op for their incredible support of our projects. We celebrated by bringing our community together for a day of delicious food and good company.
A special thanks to the amazing Chef Sarah Lakey, who wowed us all with a fantastic cooking demo. We enjoyed so many tasty treats, including vegan sausage rolls, beetroot hummus with homemade breadsticks, vegetable quiche, curries, and incredible lavender and honey flapjacks, as well as chocolate orange cake. Everything was washed down with a refreshing mint cordial, made with love using home-grown produce from Sarah’s community gardens in Gosport.
It was wonderful to see everyone come together and celebrate the power of community. Thank you to everyone who joined us, including over 40 people who came along—it was great to see so many new faces! We were especially honored to have some of the Baton of Hope team join us—thank you for your support! And a special shout-out to our incredible Southsea Green treasure, Peta, for arranging such a lovely day for all of us to enjoy.
