Today I've been working on our website, creating a sitemap (the layout of a web page), writing copy and thinking about design ready to start building next week - exciting times! BUT even organised people need a little help now and again and today it comes in the form of Google Docs.
Never heard of it? Let me give you the lowdown.
Firstly, you'll need a Google account to use the service, it's free of charge and can be set up in a few minutes. With the account, you get access to all of Google’s services one of these is Google Docs, an alternative to Microsoft Word which allows you to create, edit and store your own shareable document online.
This is an excellent tool for businesses as you can share with co-workers, producing and editing documents together. It even has a colour-coded feature that shows you who is responsible for each edit, telling you when the last update was made to the document and at what time - smart huh! Not only that, but it also works syncs across phones, tablets, and desktops, giving you the ability to work and collaborate from anywhere.
If you'd like to start using Google Docs, or perhaps you have your eye on another piece of software but you're a little technically challenged - give us a shout, we'll get you set up and ready to go in no time.
