🌸🌿Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous mums I know. A busy day ahead as I am hosting Mother's Day lunch for 3 mums! I had best get those spuds peeled and Yorkshires in the oven. 🌸🌹

Updating my social media group work today. It has taken several years to build up my extensive list. So many people don't read the group rules - but if you do and you are kind and courteous you get fab results. Know the right days of the week for each group that is important to you and advertise accordingly.
Always add your phone number and say "Hello this is my business post for this week"
Sign off with a polite few words too.
Have a good week

It is never too early to start your promotions for Mother's Day. More and more people are planning well in advance. Especially if your restaurant has the hottest seat in town. Sunday 19th March. Even if you are not a bar or restaurant consider what your business can bring to the occasion to boost sales.
Have a great day. Emma

Lots of people ask me "What do I do if I receive a bad review for my business? "

Occasionally the bad reviews do come. The way to respond to them is to be polite. Did the situation genuinely happen? If so put yourself in the shoes of your customer. You can respond to them privately via email, you can check your database of contacts and call them or you can respond publically.

Clients use me to respond to reviews for several reasons. In some cases written English is not their first language. They are too busy. They can't think of what to write. They worry about getting into an online debate.

More often than not there are 2 or 3 sides to any review. Talk to your team. Did they notice anything? Has the review been posted to the wrong business? Did your staff miss the table check back?

Keeping up to date and fresh with your review responses shows that you care about your customers and in turn they are more likely to return. Above all do not forget to say 'Thank you". Even the worst reviews can be turned around and removed.

If you know a business who needs my help please do share my details with them. Thank you.
Bye for now (I am off to the world of TripAdvisor)
