It’s always a pleasure to work with George and hear his latest music, and it was definitely the case to work on the vinyl and CDs for The Bracken & Tread – George’s second album. The artwork is fantastic on this, again designed by the brilliant Chris Hood ( ) – it always puts the project in good stead, knowing the artwork is going to look great and work great. Audio mastered by Ben Pike ( ) whose great work ensured this sounds as good on vinyl as it does.
The Bracken & Tread has a different feel from album #1, The Promise of Spring (2024), drawing on a lot of inspiration from travel in Nepal – resulting in 10 fantastic tracks displaying George’s talent and nods to Nepal, which will get the head bobbing throughout the album!
For this album, we again manufactured a split-run of vinyl – including a limited-edition run of 100 yellow vinyl in hand-numbered outer sleeves. Printed inner sleeves containing the disc have the lyrics printed so that you can sing along are always great, and make for a traditional vinyl experience.
We also made CDs to match, again featuring Chris Hood’s artwork – these are a 4pp digifile with a capacity pocket, to house a printed card wallet containing the CD, and looking very smart indeed!
George is donating to Nepalese charities with every physical copy purchased, and is also shouting out to encourage donations in the wake of the devastating flooding in Central Nepal. We encourage everyone to donate if at all possible, it all helps.
