You wouldn't share your keys, so why would you give credentials to staff who don't need them?

To limit risk and keep your site secure, you should apply a principle of leastprivilege. This means you can limit staff permissions based on their access needs and management level.

Credentials stored digitally allow for a much stronger audit trail as well as ease of use when assigning and revoking access, however, care must be taken not to overlook permissions when employees change roles or leave the company.

Disney is being sued by a group of visitors to its parks for failing to “adequately disclose” the use of facial recognition technology. The system was implemented in April at its California parks Disneyland and California Adventure with the aim of making it easier to enter and re-enter the park and to prevent fraud.

Use of facial recognition in the UK is governed by stringent data protection legislation – in fact it is generally prohibited, with ten specific exceptions including making it very clear that you are collecting and using biometric data, and for what purpose.
