Do you have an opinion on Adult Social care and how its delivered? If so use your voice and take part in the 'The Big Conversation' on Care - essentially the public consultation feeding into the Casey Review.

It launched on 29 July 2026 and will run until April 2027. Casey wants up to a million people to contribute—including people receiving care, families, unpaid carers, care workers, providers, councils, voluntary organisations and members of the general public.

It is asking some pretty fundamental questions:

What should people be able to expect from social care?
Who should qualify for publicly supported care?
What should families reasonably be expected to provide?
What should the state provide?
How should social care be funded fairly and sustainably?
What should a future National Care Service actually look like?

And this is important: it's not just a survey. People can submit ideas and respond to other people's suggestions online, while a representative Public Panel will examine the difficult trade-offs in more depth. The findings are intended to feed directly into Casey's recommendations.

Share your ideas, vote on other people's suggestions and join the online conversation about the future of adult social care.

In this webinar, Edinburgh University’s Professor Tilo Kunath will be joined by an expert panel to discuss the two types of dementia most closely associated with Parkinson’s: Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD) and Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB). The panel will discuss what these conditions are, how they compare, and the current research landscape.
