I’ve used every excuse in the book, and I'm working around 6 kids.

“It’s the school holidays.”
“I’m too tired.”
“There’s no time.”
"What if it doesn't work out?'

But it is the school holidays right now, and I’m still working.
Not all day.
Not instead of them - we still have lots of days out planned.
I just choose when.

Get up an hour earlier.
Stay up an hour later.
Spend the time creating content to get more visibility - rather than scrolling social media.

Six months of:

✨ Taking action - even if it's not consistently

I can tell I’m getting old when I get excited about a new white board 🫣 or when the bin man comes and empties all the bins, but if we forget to put them out it’s the end of the world!

I’m busy planning content, website updates, articles, and events for our Mums in Business, and one of our businesses Inspired Projects Developments Ltd as I’ve now taken over the social media and marketing to showcase all the amazing projects the team are working on.

I don’t show up every day.
I’m a mum of 6, I run more than one business and having ADHD means I do get distracted.

But I believe in what I’m building.
And when you believe in what you’re doing, others will too.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to be everywhere.
You just need consistency, patience, and the confidence to keep going.

I haven’t been employed for 13 years.
I can take every school holiday off with my children.
I can book appointments when I need to.
I can take days off when the kids are poorly - without worrying what anyone else thinks.

It’s not about the money (although that’s nice).
It’s about freedom and working on my own terms.

In that time, I’ve created memberships, courses, digital products, online shops, monetised blogs, built an award-winning brick-and-mortar business, and helped hundreds of women start and grow businesses of their own.

And it all started with belief (even when i had 4 children under 2).

It wasn't easy. But it was still easier than the anxiety of asking permission to leave work when my child was sick, or explaining that I needed time off for school holidays because putting multiple children into holiday clubs would cost a fortune.

I’ve Been Keeping a Secret… I’m Writing a Book and It Could Feature You!

This book will share my personal journey as a mum of six, and everything I’ve learnt about building successful businesses around family life. It will have practical advice on starting various businesses, Inspiring stories from myself and other successful mums in business, as well as all the fundamentals of running a business.

It’s for mums who want to build a business around family life, those starting out after maternity leave, and mums already in business who want to feel inspired again.

When I left my corporate career, I had no idea what was coming next. I had 3 three babies within nine months. No, they were not triplets. I gave birth to my daughter and just seven weeks later found out I was expecting identical twins. I already had a son who was often off school sick, and every time I took time off work, I felt anxious and guilty.

I knew something had to change. I wanted to be present for my children but still have a career and financial independence.

I built several businesses including an award winning brick and mortar business, online stores, online courses, memberships, digital products, and a community that supports mums in business. I’ve also designed and created my own children’s products, stationery, and merchandise, and I’ve monetised online blogs and content that continue to generate income.

I want to inspire other mums to see that it is possible to create something of their own. You can build a business that replaces your income, and gives you the freedom to work for yourself. Success isn't about having a multi million pound business - It's the freedom of being able to work from anywhere in the world and spend more time with the kids!
