People don't realize the importance of Machinst and machine shops. Everything in this world except natural resources have its roots planted in a machine shop. But the tools and equipment to harvest the natural resources come from a machinist making the parts. It's Everything. If you need Plastic fork? The mold was made in a machine shop. Do you need eye glasses? The frame and lenses are cut in a machine shop. Do you need a tooth pulled? The tools for doing that procedure is made in a machine shop. It's a never ending list that goes on and on. You will never think of anything that somehow doesn't have It's roots based in a machine shop. It's so sad that it's such a disrespected trade. The pay rate is so very poor for what you need to know and the tools you need to do this kind of work. We make parts for aircraft to fly, parts for ships and submarines. Parts to defend our country. Parts to cook and feed ourselves. Parts for farm tractors etc. As mentioned earlier, the list is endless.
