🚀 Exciting Changes at 3active! 🚀

As of January 2025, 3active has decided to remodel our business structure and recruit our own engineers within our core services of Fire and Water. We're thrilled to announce the first of many steps in this journey: Nathan Beck has joined the team as our Lead Engineer, covering all HSG 274 monitoring and remedial works. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to the expertise he’ll bring to the team.

As part of our new structure, we are also proud to welcome Technical Compliance into the 3active Group! This acquisition brings with it a wealth of knowledge and expertise. We are particularly excited to have Mike Kempton leading the Water Division as Technical Director, with Suzanne Kempton supporting the back office. Matthew Morrison and Julian Fransz will be out in the field, covering everything from monthly monitoring to all aspects of remedial works.

This strategic growth allows us to provide great national coverage with offices in Stansted, Stevenage, and Yorkshire. We are excited to announce the opening of our new office in Bristol.

We’ll be keeping you updated throughout the year on the great work our team is doing!

We are looking for multiple skilled and detail-oriented Fire Door Maintenance Technician & Fire Stoppers to join our team and help us uphold the highest standards of fire safety.

Job Description:
As a Fire Door Maintenance Technician & Fire Stopper, you will be responsible for:
• Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing fire doors to meet safety regulations and standards.
• Conducting fire stopping activities, such as sealing penetrations and gaps in fire-rated walls, floors, and ceilings.
• Performing detailed assessments and generating compliance reports for fire door and fire stopping systems.
• Ensuring all work adheres to relevant building codes, fire regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaborating with site managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Staying updated on fire safety legislation and best practices.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in fire door maintenance, installation, and fire stopping.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes (e.g., BS 8214, ASFP standards).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in fire safety (e.g., FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Full, clean driving license (travel is required).

However, with warmer weather comes the demand for air conditioning. 3active carry out all aspects of air consulting, from servicing, installing and repairing. We have engineers across the country carry out servicing across a range of properties on a monthly basis.

At 3active we cover various tasks within the water, fire & air sectors, however we also cover a variety of tasks that fall outside of these sectors, see below a small list of just some the jobs we have carried out recently-

🔴 Built a smoking shelter
🔴 Installed remote controlled curtain rails
🔴 Replaced carpets & Lino within offices
🔴 Supplied & installed tumble dryer
🔴 Supplied & delivered toaster
🔴 Cleared gutters
🔴 Converted shower room into a toilet

There is little we don’t do…..☺️

However this all means that our customers only have to deal with us, instead of having to contact builders, plumbers, fire risk assessors, carpet suppliers etc. they can come to 3active and know we will deal with it all, and to the highest standards 🚨

Our teams have been busy with fire remedial works recently 👍🚨

See below before & after pictures from a recent fire stopping job in a supported living accommodation. All work is provided with full report, and material test data sheets following completion to ensure the customer is kept full up to date with works done on their sites 😁

Fire Saftey Works

We currently have teams across the country carrying out various fire safety works, including installing fire alarm systems, emergency lights, remediating fire doors, replacing fire door and frames, just to name a few 👍

One of the tasks we cover is the supply of zone chart, we have engineers across London at the moment surveying various buildings from student accommodation to blocks of flats to produce zone charts following a fire risk assessment identifying this was missing 🚨🔥
