This is what getting over a Tough Mudder wall looks like: colleagues pulling each other up a wall taller than most of them, because that’s the only way anyone gets past it.

That’s more or less what the whole day was, one obstacle after another, and a team that only got through it by helping each other. It felt like a fitting way to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, since their work is built on that same kind of unwavering support.

Its been a busy September 😅

We’ve been awarded two of the largest security contracts in London, and the team is growing to look after both.

We also hosted the National Security Inspectorate for internal training on the NCP109 access control standard, and the team toured the Milestone Systems Concept Centre.

Contracts Director Steve Smith retired at the end of September after 22 years of service at Link, and Paula Milliken has also joined the Operations Team, handling calls and emails and coordinating the technical response.

And finally, seven of our colleagues finished the Tough Mudder in Crawley for Macmillan Cancer Support. The fundraiser is still hoping to hit its full target of £2,500 and the donation link is in the first comment.

We are very excited to announce that Link CCTV has been awarded two of the largest security contracts in London! That means our London team is growing, so that both are looked after properly from day one.

Four of the new roles are based in London, and work across some of the busiest sites in the capital, while the Operations Support Team at our Stevenage office is expanding alongside them so the engineers on site have the planning and support they need behind every call.

If you listen carefully, you might just be able to hear…

Crystal clear audio on a new Commend intercom system, soon to be installed throughout a key South London shopping centre.

This follows a competitive tender, and is the next phase of works for this destination after significant CCTV and Access Control upgrades in the last few years – all of which has been entrusted to Link.

A quick update on our Support fundraiser: we’ve moved from a third of the way to 40% of our £2,500 target, thanks to everyone who has given so far!

The Tough Mudder event is coming up this month, and the team would like the total to keep climbing before they get muddy and occasionally electrocuted for it. Every pound raised supports the nurse care and financial grants that Macmillan provides to people navigating a cancer diagnosis.

Never too old to go back to school!

Link hosted the NSI (National Security Inspectorate) recently for an internal training session on the NCP109 standard for access control systems.

Many thanks to the trainer Paul, who made a long journey to share his experience and expertise with us.

These standards are important to maintain – for us, for our clients, and for the industry in general. Managing Director Ryan Michinson and Commercial Manager Brad Smith were part of this alongside a range of the technical team including Habib Haque, Bradley Greenslade, Phil Carman, Dan Wilde and more – if we prioritise anything, it is education (after call outs, of course!)
