I am also adept in Systems thinking and theories of organizational learning (Peter Senge and Tuckman) Social learning theory (Piaget, Vygotsky and Bandura) and motivation / Growth Mindset (Carol Dweck). With a general expertise in learning and development I have specific specialisms in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning practice and policy. Examples of research work includes contributing to a systematic review of mathematics anxiety research focusing on nursing education, a review of research into the science education of students during Primary to Secondary transition. Passionate about creativity in learning I also practice what I preach and trained as a science communicator/performer and visual film maker - courtesy of Film Making for Fieldwork, which is aligned to the University of Manchester Granada Centre for visual studies.
