There’s been a fair bit of business chat amongst the BFF chat this week.

And one of the things we’ve finally had time to get properly stuck into is something that’s actually been quietly taking shape for the past year.

We’ve been working 1:1 with businesses in the floristry industry on all sorts of marketing projects and challenges – alongside the ongoing work we do for our retainer clients.

And it’s been fantastic to see how we’ve been able to help them untangle challenges, find new opportunities and make real progress.

So, earlier this year we started thinking about how we could turn that into something more ‘official.’ And this week in Nice, we’ve been getting into the nitty gritty of two new ways you’ll soon be able to work with us 1:1. 👀

One will be for when you’ve got one specific marketing challenge you want to get our heads together on – focused and practical so you can final get the job done and ticked off your ‘I must figure this out’ list!

The other goes much deeper. We’ll work alongside you for 3-4 months, getting stuck into a wider area of your marketing and helping you develop the strategy, ideas, messaging, plans and tools to actually move it forward.

This isn’t “give us your marketing and we’ll do it all for you.”

It’s very much done WITH you – bringing our marketing experience and two extra heads to your business, helping you work things through, make decisions and turn all that thinking into action.

And whether you’re a solo florist with something that’s had you going round in circles, or a floristry business ready to tackle something more substantial, there’ll be an option depending on the level of support you need.

We’re VERY excited about this one 💫

We’ll be looking for a small number of floristry businesses to beta test both options before we launch them properly.

So, if this is already making you think “Ooh, I might have something for you…”, drop us a 👍 in the comments.

We’ll make a note and make sure you’re amongst the first people we come back to when we’re ready to share more 🐝🐝

A few extra things I’d be thinking about now too, because selling the workshop is only part of the marketing opportunity 👇

👉 Sort your marketing permissions.
If you’ve got permission to email last year’s attendees, brilliant – use it. If you haven’t, make collecting email marketing permission part of your booking process this year. Because someone who has already chosen to spend a festive evening flowering with you is exactly the kind of person you’d like to keep talking to.

👉 Plan what happens when you’ve got them in the room.
You’re about to have a captive audience of people enjoying your flowers, your expertise and your business. What would you love them to do next?

Could you create a little flyer with a limited-time offer on your Christmas range? Add a QR code to join your email list? Promote gift vouchers, Christmas flowers or another workshop?

👉 Make it ridiculously easy for them to share the experience.
Have your Instagram handle visible and actively encourage people to take photos and tag you. You could even create a simple branded selfie spot where they can photograph themselves proudly holding their finished wreath.

And actually tell them:
“Please take lots of photos and tag us – and we’d LOVE to see your wreath when you get it home!*

Because if they’ve loved spending an evening with you, there’s a pretty good chance their friends would love it too.

So yes, start marketing those Christmas workshops now.

But also think about how the workshop itself can market your business once everyone gets through the door.

Has that sparked some ideas for you this year? 👍👎

Ever had someone join your mailing list and then not got round to writing an email for 2, 3, 4, 6, 10 weeks (ever?) 🙈

That's exactly what email workflows are designed to solve.

Set them up once and they'll automatically start the conversation with every new subscriber, keeping you front of mind and helping turn that in-the-moment interest into sales.

Join us for our next Worker Wing Workshop to see workflows in action. Comment WING and we'll send over the details 👇

Or, if you're ready to get going, we have two bite-sized email marketing courses for florists - whatever stage you're at in your email marketing journey. Ask us about them or head to the link in bio for more.

One thing we've learnt over the years is that taking the photo isn't the hard part...

It's remembering to take all the photos you'll need later.

A hero shot.
A landscape.
A close-up.
A video.
A behind-the-scenes clip... (you get the picture!)

It may take a little while longer, but whilst the bouquet is still in front of you, getting the right shots can save hours later when you're creating content, updating your website or putting together an email.

That's why we put together our free 📸 Florist's Guide to Bouquet Photography 📸
(& just in time for World Photography Day today 🙌)

It's packed with practical tips and a simple checklist you can keep by your workbench so every bouquet gives you plenty of content to work with.

Want it?? Head here 👇

And let future you say, "Thank goodness I took that shot!" 😇

Imagine sitting down in September with your email marketing for Christmas already planned.
(Only 18 more Fridays to go... 👀)

You're possibly already planning your products, workshops, services... thinking about how to maximise sales this year.

So, if you'd like some help converting those customers already warmed up to buying from you, then you'll want to tune in 👇

Our next Worker Wing, online workshop for florists, is designed to help you fast track your email marketing, get it in the bag before the Christmas rush, and secure sales from those waiting to hear from.

➡️ We're teaming up with Katie and Amy from Strelitzia to show you how to uncover the opportunities hiding (in plain sight) in your customer data.
➡️ Then we will show you how to turn those insights into targeted email campaigns you can write and schedule before the festive frenzy...

And whilst we'll be focusing on Christmas, you'll leave with ideas you can use for every big sales occasion in your business.

You're busy.

You've just finished a gorgeous bouquet.

You snap one quick picture (maybe 🙈), hand it over to the customer, and then three weeks later you're looking for something to post on Instagram thinking:

🤔 Damn it - that was a gorgeous bouquet and all I took was this one blasted photo...
"I wish I'd taken a close-up."
"Or a landscape one."
"Or a quick video."

We've all done it - every time Jane and I have a client meeting we usually forget to get a photo 😶

So, that's exactly why we created our Florist's Guide to Bouquet Photography.

It's not about becoming a professional photographer. It's about making every bouquet work harder for your marketing by capturing the right photos and footage while you've got the chance.

Inside you'll find:
🌼 A simple photography cheat sheet.
🌼 The essential angles to capture.
🌼 Easy phone photography tips.
🌼 Ideas for getting more content from every bouquet.

Want a copy? Click here 👇 and we'll send it to you inbox 👇

Inside we share the most common photo formats, our top tips for capturing the best shots, and a quick-reference checklist to make it easy.

Before you start picturing spreadsheets... stop right there 😂

In our next Worker Wing session, we're talking about the customers you already know, the products they already buy and the patterns you've probably never had time to notice. Amy & Katie from Strelitzia Software will show you where to find them, and we'll help you turn them into brilliant email marketing.

Could you watch the replay afterwards? Of course.

But do we think you'd benefit from sitting in live? 💯

That's when you get to ask questions, hear other florists' ideas, get stuck into the discussion and walk away with an exclusive bonus that isn't included with the replay.
