What we have been up to at Buddies.
- One of our Buddies took a service user for a cuppa at Stocksfield Golf Club ⛳️
- Another enjoyed a game of bowling at Wentworth in Hexham 🎳
- Our Day centre enjoyed a chicken dinner and homemade rice pudding yesterday from our lovely Sheila(please excuse how much jam we put on for ourselves 🤣)

It’s been a World Cup themed day today… getting ready for our window display. We have asked everyone in the day centre to help us complete all 48 flags for our bunting! A well deserved Tuna melt panini with potatoes skins & salad for lunch 🥪

And just like that we are 10 years old!!
We can’t believe it’s been 10 years since we started Community Buddies.
Rackel started this in her spare bedroom by herself and now is supporting over 170 service users in our local community with 35 amazing buddies!
Thank you everyone for your support over the years. We are so proud of the reputation we have built.
Social care isn’t easy for a business or for all our amazing staff (we are definitely under appreciated)!!
Here’s to many more years ahead ❤️

To cover our Corbridge/ Hexham area

We are looking to recruit a new buddy for our team as we are getting bigger and bigger!

Full & Part time support worker positions available (must work every other weekend)

Since becoming CQC registered we have been inundated with new packages so we are looking to add another amazing buddy to our team.

Job role: Supporting our service users to live independently at home. This may include supporting with meals, shopping, assisting to appointments, companionship, supporting with household jobs, personal care, supporting with medication, every package we have is different depending on what the service user may need so your job really does vary day to day.

Full training is provided.

You must have…
A full driving licence and access to their own car.
Be happy to be DBS checked
Flexible and reliable.
Be a caring and organised individual.

Thursday 12th Closed this week
Friday 13th Fish & chips (obviously)
Followed by dessert 😆
