🌟 It's Thankful Thursday 🌟

Today we’re shining a very well‑deserved spotlight on Nelli, one of our Domestic Assistants.

After 22 years of dedicated service, Nelli embraced a brand‑new challenge in April by joining the Leven Unit Theatres team following many years in A&E. Since then, she’s been showered with praise for her positive, bubbly personality and her exceptional attention to detail, reflected in the unit’s consistent 5‑star monitoring scores.

A massive well done to Nelli for her hard work and commitment to patient care. 💙

Today we said farewell to our mailroom colleague, Alasdair, who first joined North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in September 1983. He moved to NTH Solutions in March 2018, bringing his total service to an outstanding 43 years!

Alasdair is a familiar and friendly face across the North Tees site, always ensuring our postal services ran smoothly and reliably.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces at his leaving celebration today. Pictured is Alasdair with colleagues Pat and Dominic, along with former colleague Fran. Also pictured is Alasdair with his dad.

It's another Thankful Thursday! 🌟

Today we’re celebrating some wonderful feedback left by a patient for our team at University Hospital Hartlepool.

“The unit is immaculately clean and highlights the dedication of the cleaning team. The hospital is a safe, welcoming area for people of all ages and disabilities.”

A huge thank you to our fantastic cleaning and facilities teams who work tirelessly to create a spotless, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

This , we’re shining a little extra appreciation on our amazing ward hostess Lavinia aka "la la" today. She was recently surprised with a heartfelt thank‑you card and a box of chocolates from a family who wanted to recognise the care and compassion she showed while their loved one was on the ward.

They shared that she is “a credit to her profession”, and we couldn’t agree more. Lavinia’s warmth, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond make a real difference to the people we care for every day.

Thank you, Lavinia, for bringing such genuine heart to your role. Our wards are brighter because of you.

This week, one of our domestic assistants, Kehindi, received a heartfelt card from a patient thanking him for all his hard work and for always making them smile.

Facilities Service Lead Brad nominated Kehindi for to highlight his fantastic work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to providing the best patient experience.

Today we’re marking National Supported Internship Day by celebrating the incredible young people who are gaining confidence, skills and independence working across our Trust via our schemes with NHS England Choices College Hartlepool and Catcote Academy.

With the help of dedicated mentors and colleagues across NTH Solutions , our interns are discovering their strengths and building pathways into meaningful employment.

From inspiring success stories like Dom's, a former intern now mentoring others, to the brilliant progress of this year’s cohort working across Portering, Catering, Domestics and more, their achievements show the real impact of supported internships.

This , Assistant Director of Operations Natalie, wanted to thank the NTH Solutions teams' for their hard work during the winter pressures.

This week's Thankful Thursday is a reminder of how vital strong teamwork is to keeping our services running safely and smoothly. When an unexpected dust escape occurred at the Community Diagnostic Centre in Stockton, colleagues stepped in immediately with calm, care, and real professionalism.

The facilities team at CDC were quick to act, keeping communication clear and helping ensure the building could be accessed safely. Our domestic team followed with the same dedication — returning multiple times to clean and re‑clean the affected areas until they were fully safe for patient use.

Moments like this highlight the strength of the people behind the scenes who support us without hesitation and often at a moment’s notice, a big thanks from Natalie - Design and Development!
