Over the last 2 years, we have been developing and refining an approach to address inequalities in early cancer diagnosis by using behavioural science nudge techniques to promote screening attendance.

Throughout our work with South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance, Bradford CCG and West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance, we've placed a keen focus on tackling inequalities, including highly deprived populations, women of South Asian ethnicity and members of Roma and Traveller communities.

We'll be showcasing our behavioural science work at the Best Practice Birmingham show this October.

Immunisation prevents 3.5 - 5 million deaths annually from diseases like influenza and COVID-19, making it a vital part of primary healthcare.

However, despite rates of the virus being higher in the 2022/23 winter months than in 2021/22, national uptake of influenza vaccinations was lower in all at risk groups.

Caja has significant experience in applying principles from behavioural science to create tangible shifts in vaccine uptake across diverse populations.

Some of our success stories include:

💉 Increased uptake of Td-IPV booster vaccines by 24%
💉 Increased first-dose COVID-19 vaccines by 10%
💉 Increased uptake of HPV vaccines by up to 20%
💉 Increased uptake of MenACWY vaccines by 24%

We've been talking a lot about our Insights360?

But what is it?

Insights360 is one of Caja's analytics tools being utilised by Health & Social Care decision makers to help them prioritise where to invest and intervene to improve their integrated care systems.

We've used Insights360 to:

⭐️ Explore factors which might be predictive of access to primary care across an ICS, setting priorities for a post-Covid recovery plan
⭐️ Identified GP practices for behavioural science interventions to drive cervical screening uptake in several cancer alliances
⭐️ Targeted communities for public health interventions, including STI and flu immunisation
