Big news from me today, HUGE in fact... After careful consideration, the time has come to close my UK business, TalentGen Limited, after almost 15 years of trading. It doesn't seem that long since I was writing my business plan and designing my first website - I've learned so much along the way, adapting the business and growing personally in ways I hadn't even considered when I first started.
My decision is fuelled by changing client requirements and new beginnings all around me, so I'm paying attention to what is on offer, with a slower pace initially to allow me to settle into our new home in the south of France and recover from a sprained ankle.
Naturally, I have mixed feelings - we entrepreneurs wrap a lot of our own identity up in our businesses :) Mainly, I'm extremely proud of what my team and I have achieved. I am extremely grateful to have worked with such a brilliant, competent group of coaches, assessors, facilitators, and actors (you know who you are). Huge thank you also to the organisations that have (and continue to) trust me with their leaders.
A special mention goes to my 'work wife' Emma, who has supported me at every turn and with whom I will continue to work, albeit in a different way.
We have managed some huge projects, coached and developed thousands of individuals and to this date are still seeing great feedback and demand for our services. This rewards our focus on truly believing and demonstrating that people are at the heart of what we do, alongside the quality of our support. In short, we love to give, in a world that can sometimes feel like a lot of take...
If you are still reading, rest assured I am still around. Just dividing my time differently, with more energy directed towards my coaching business, Davis Coaching.
