🌿 Border Design & Planting Project 🌿
We recently had the pleasure of designing and planting a brand-new border for one of the large residential properties we maintain.
The area was originally an old wildflower bed that had become overgrown and neglected over the years. The brief was to create something beautiful and inviting that still retained a natural, wildlife-friendly feel, whilst being neat, structured, and easy to maintain.
After carefully selecting a diverse mix of plants, we created a border packed with colour, texture, and seasonal interest. The planting scheme includes:
🌸 Salvia ‘Caradonna’
🌸 Salvia ‘Hot Lips’
🌸 Penstemon
🌸 Leucanthemum
🌸 Argyranthemum
🌸 Verbena bonariensis
🌸 Nepeta ‘Purrsian Blue’
🌸 Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm’
🌸 Cosmos
🌸 Osteospermum
🌸 Heuchera
Along with a selection of shrubs and woody herbaceous plants:
🌿 Spiraea ‘Goldflame’
🌿 Euphorbia ‘Miner’s Merlot’
🌿 Euonymus ‘Emerald Gaiety’
🌿 Philadelphus (Mock Orange)
The result is a border that combines a relaxed, naturalistic style with a more organised and refined appearance—providing year-round structure and a long season of colour for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Projects like this are always rewarding, and we’re looking forward to watching the border establish and flourish over the coming months during our regular maintenance visits.
