Real business. Real results. Meet Cotswold Marquees Ltd.

How can a growing business make better use of its roof space while reducing electricity costs?

For Cotswold Marquees, the answer was a bespoke commercial solar PV system. ⚡

Following the construction of its new manufacturing facility in Lower Brailes, Oxfordshire, Stratford Energy Solutions designed and installed a 14.58kWp solar PV system, featuring:

☀️ 36 SunPower Global Performance 405W panels
📈 12,372kWh estimated annual generation
🌱 Around 9 tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved

Completed in just two days, the system is helping Cotswold Marquees make better use of its daytime solar generation, reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower its ongoing electricity costs.

🔋 The business is now also considering battery storage as its next step.

🍂 October is here – and so are higher energy prices.

With the latest energy price cap now in effect and further energy price increases forecast in the new year, many households will be taking another look at what they’re paying for electricity.

💚 World Mental Health Day at Stratford Energy Solutions 💚

This World Mental Health Day, we’re taking the opportunity to recognise the importance of looking after our mental health, talking openly and making sure everyone feels supported at work.

This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” is a reminder that meaningful change starts by creating spaces where people feel safe to speak, listen and be themselves.

Yesterday, we marked the day as a team with a few initiatives focused on connection, wellbeing and appreciation:

💚 Welcoming our first Mental Health First Aiders – We’re delighted to announce that Jamie and Anna are undertaking Mental Health First Aid training and will soon be qualified to provide support and signposting to colleagues when they need it.

🥾 A wellbeing walk – We stepped away from our desks at lunchtime for some fresh air, movement and a chance to walk and talk together. There was no pressure to share personal experiences, but it was a great opportunity to chat openly and connect with colleagues, if and when people felt comfortable.

💌 Showing our appreciation – We also took time to recognise the people around us and share some positive messages about the things we value and admire in our colleagues.

📚 Sharing knowledge and resources – We encouraged the team to learn more about mental health and the different ways we can look after ourselves and support others.

And, of course, we’re wearing green to show our support for World Mental Health Day! 💚

Mental health matters every day, not just on 10th October. We’re proud to be taking steps as a team to create a workplace where conversations are welcomed, people are listened to and nobody feels they have to struggle alone.
