Waking up to lovely words from a family-

Hi Yva just wanted to write a wee thank you for conducting our dads funeral service. From making us as a family laugh during the house visit to making our dad's life story fun and interesting. As you said we give you the information but the way you present it makes it special .
At lot of the people who attended said it was a lovely service .We also still remember the way you conducted our mums service with the same approach xx .
We as a family miss both our mum and dad so much but you helped give them a great send off . Take care thank you again

These gorgeous coos were guests at today’s wedding. E&J tied the knot in very Scottish style with friends and family around them. A beautiful wedding … 20 years in the making! 💞

Making promises with smiles and laughter. 😍 This union brought me into the bride’s life for the fourth time - we had worked together on funeral ceremony creation so it was especially joyful to come together in such happy circumstances. Story telling came with an extra piece of ritual - the gathering was an intimate one and we decided to have the bride and groom say ‘I do’ and then their guests add their pledge of support and a ‘we do’. It was a warm and supportive extension of the marriage pledges that I loved on the day.

Quaich ceremony 😍 Vicki and Kieron wanted to include family members in their wedding ceremony and one of the ways we did that was to have a representative from each family be part of the quaich ceremony. It was a beautiful, touching exchange … with a touch of the humour that was threaded through the day. Making sure that your wedding reflects you is my driving focus when we create your ceremony together and I couldn’t be happier for this lovely couple that their joy shone through in every moment of it. Today marks the 9th anniversary of my first ceremony conducted as a celebrant (although the pic is from the service I conducted for my mum a year previously) - it’s rare that people take photos during the funeral in a crematorium. Since that first funeral I have had the privilege of conducting over a thousand ceremonies including woodland burials, cremation services, celebrations of life indoors and outside and weddings in the woods, in hotels, castles, living rooms and back gardens. I’ve celebrated the joy of union for couples with such a diversity of love stories and told the life stories of people from all walks of life. I have learned and laughed and been witness to love in all its forms. I treasure the memories and experiences that these ceremonies have brought and am ever thankful for my part in these tributes to life and love.
