A Land Rover bonnet, a Highlands breeze, a measure of GHQ rum catching the last of the weather-beaten light. The Life of Riley cup waits, patient and unhurried, for whatever comes next. Out here the road is uncertain, the map approximate, but the essentials are quietly in order: good spirit, good steel, and the long northern evening refusing to end.

If you're picturing endless sunshine and desert heat, you might be surprised.
It's been cold at times. Windy. Damp.
And occasionally we've found ourselves reaching for a jumper and wool jacket rather than looking for shade.
But that's all part of the adventure.
The landscapes have been stunning, the roads and sky seem to go on forever, and being able to explore them in these old Jeeps alongside a great group of people is a real privilege.
The hospitality has been wonderful too.
Everywhere we've gone we've been made to feel incredibly welcome.
Ne're only just getting started, but we're already falling in love with the country.

Some things endure. Not loudly โ€” but with the quiet authority of things made properly.
The bottle sat on the bonnet of the old Defender like a claim staked on new territory. The glass beside it caught the light with the patience of something that knows it will soon be needed.

She didnโ€™t need a mission briefing. She already knew exactly what she wanted.
Perched on the bonnet of a Defender, dust still settling from wherever sheโ€™d come from, she unstopped the bottle with the quiet confidence of someone who has never once second-guessed a decision.
GHQ Vodka. Neat. Or over ice with lime, if the afternoon demands it.

Last night we had the honour of being the Official Drinks Sponsor of the 70th Anniversary Scottish Military Ball at the stunning Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh โ€” our 4th year proud to be part of this incredible event.
But last night was about so much more than a spectacular ball.
It was about shining a light on the extraordinary work of โ€” a veteran-led organisation using the power of nature, wilderness, and community to help veterans, serving personnel, and their families recalibrate and rebuild.
