Roundhouse Performing Arts team circa 2007 represented last night at Marcus Davey’s leaving party.
Marcus has been CEO and Artistic Director of the Roundhouse for the past 27 years and achieved so much in that time, taking it from a fun wreck of a building to the state of the art venue and creative centre it is today.
And in that time overseen and provided guidance and direction to a massive, young (and sometimes chaotic) staff delivering incredible events and a world leading programme for young people, providing opportunities for tens of thousands of people, from staff to participants.
Working there together changed us forever. Marcus is endlessly generous, forgiving and a the ultimate enthusiast. He went out of his way to make everyone in the building feel welcome and that they had a stake in the shared project.
Thank you Marcus, it really was the best job in the world - We hope we continue our careers and projects with the care and respect that you shared with us.
