💛 More Than Just Repairs 💛
One of the things that has made us particularly happy recently is hearing from visitors about the welcoming atmosphere at Studley Repair Cafe.
Creating a place where people feel comfortable, welcome and part of the community has always been important to us. Of course, repairing things, reducing waste and keeping perfectly good items out of landfill is at the heart of what we do. But we think there is a little more to it than that.
Maybe you've got something that needs fixing.
Maybe you just fancy some company.
Maybe you need somewhere warm and dry on a miserable day.
Or perhaps you simply want ten quiet minutes away from the stresses of everyday life, with a cup of tea, a piece of cake and a bit of time to yourself. ☕🍰
You don't have to arrive carrying a broken toaster to have a reason to be at the Repair Cafe.
Our volunteers are there to repair, but they're also there to chat, listen, share a laugh and help create a space where people can simply feel at home.
We've been lucky enough to receive some lovely feedback about the sense of community at our sessions, and honestly, it means a great deal to us. It's something our volunteers work hard to create, and it's wonderful to know that people are feeling it too.
So whether you're bringing along something that needs a second chance, coming for a cuppa and a chat, or just curious about what we're all about...
