New agreement builds on a spirit of collaboration 🤝

The signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federation of Small Businesses - FSB (FSB) and North East Enterprise Agency (NEEAL), marks another significant step forward in collaborative enterprise support across the region.

The agreement brings together FSB North East England and all seven NEEAL partners – the North East BIC, Tedco LTD, PNE, Enterprise Made Simple, CDC Enterprise Agency, NBSL and South Durham Enterprise Agency – in a formal partnership designed to enhance support for start-ups and growing businesses.

Paul has one simple ask in this year’s Christmas message… 🎄🙏

And that is to make sure you take time to shut down your devices, spend quality time with those closest with you and most importantly… take time to reflect.

Over the course of the last year, we’ve witnessed a lot of change as a business community, with a new government, new mayor and new rates and regulations impacting all of us in some way.

The physical world around us, particularly here in the North East, has also changed dramatically, with new developments transforming our city skylines and breathing new life into our towns.

Despite this, many of us – including McEldon OBE, as he so willingly admits – find ourselves so entrapped by the day-to-day that we seldom take time to reflect, celebrate the little wins and think about all we have achieved 💫

In just one year, The Wiggly Path Company has helped over 200 people in rural County Durham improve their wellbeing through arts and crafts. 🎨

Run by local couple Colin and Sarah Wilson, the social enterprise offers workshops in woodcraft, weaving, stitching, and more, helping people connect, learn new skills, and tackle isolation.

Supported by the Social Boost Durham programme, delivered by the North East BIC, The Wiggly Path has big plans for 2025, including team-building workshops for businesses and festive activities this winter.
