Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID is the name of the town's Business Improvement District. The BID is funded through a BID levy on business premises.

We are a not for profit organisation, 100% funded by local businesses in the town centre. Hello, we are 'Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID' which is the name of the Business Improvement District (BID) company and we have a similar function to a town centre management company. We are 100% funded by local businesses in the town centre and we were established in 2011. We deliver year round events, projects and initiatives to make the town cleaner, greener, safer and more vibrant, raising the profile of Sutton Coldfield town centre, boosting footfall and increasing sales for local businesses. We represent 400 local businesses across all business sectors in Sutton Coldfield who are part of the BID area. There are 350+ established Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in towns and cities across the UK and 10 in Birmingham. Sutton Coldfield BID secured a further 5-year mandate during a postal ballot of local businesses in 2021 and the most recent BID term will run from 2022-2027.

📢 Sutton Coldfield Gateway: Have Your Say! 🚶‍♂️ 🚲 🚙 🚌 🚆

We’ve received some information from Birmingham City Council today about proposed changes to Sutton Coldfield town centre, and we thought it would be useful to share it with you all.

ℹ️ Birmingham City Council, working alongside the West Midlands Combined Authority and Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council, is looking at ways to improve how people get into and around Sutton Coldfield town centre.

The proposals include:

✅ Better connections around the town centre

✅ Improvements to public transport

✅ Making it easier and safer to walk, cycle and get around

✅ Improving links between the train station, bus interchange, town centre and Sutton Park

✅ Looking at ways to make the ring road less of a barrier

✅ Making the town centre more welcoming and accessible for everyone

💬 Now it’s your chance to have a say!

The public consultation is open from Thursday 22 October until Thursday 3 December 2026.

💜 Our lovely new lavender planted on Birmingham Road / Duke Street. 🌿

After the long, hot and dry summer, sadly our lavender didn’t survive and failed to grow back. ☀️

As we adopted these planters back in 2024, we’re keen to keep them looking their very best and continue bringing a little colour and beauty to Birmingham Road / Duke Street.🐝
