We live here in Measham, South Derbyshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and so nearly bought a Hybrid MGZS but fell in love with the MGS5 EV.

We bought the MGS5 and installed a 7.5kwh Sungrow EV charger. £600 installed.
Soon to be replaced by the SigEnergy AC charger so it syncs with our solar so we can add daytime charging direct from the solar panels. Free energy.

As I work part time as you know as a UW partner and also being a happy customer for over 9 years, we applied for their EV tariff and charge every third day from 1am for 4hours costing us just 30p a charge.
This tops me up to 80% range which gives me around 190 miles.

We then spent £9,800 on a SigEnergy system which included 12 Aiko panels, 9kwh battery with 8kwh invertor which we run in ‘Ai’ mode.

So far (1.5 months) our bills have plummeted. We’re amazed.
We averaged £250 a month on petrol before compared to just £12.96 on nighttime EV charging with UW.
The panels ran our house all month and charged our battery to full and exported our excess to the grid which UW pay us for.
Admittedly it’s summer but we’ve saved over £500 in our first month.

By bundling all our essential home services we get the best tariffs and our total outgoings are £hundreds lower than having different suppliers for each service. I like simple things.

Like I said, I’m a UW Partner so just had to share this with my neighbours and all those who know me.

Our SigEnergy Solar system was supplied by Renergy Solutions of Leicester as I like to support local, small businesses.
