☀️🔋 Keeping it local today! The M+S Renewables team were out in Linton delivering another smart solar and battery installation, helping yet another homeowner take control of their energy costs and make the most of their solar generation. 🏡⚡

This system features:

✅ 10 x 480W LONGi Solar Panels
✅ 9kWh Battery Storage
✅ Panels installed across two roof elevations to maximise generation throughout the day ☀️

With battery storage capturing excess solar energy for use later, the customer can make even more of the power they generate and reduce their reliance on the grid. ⚡

Although if you ask the rest of us, it looks suspiciously like the old one 🤔😂

Of course, Mike strongly disages and insists it's completely different! 😏

The big change? He's officially gone green and made the switch to electric! 🌱🔋

Now, the important question.

🔋 What is Axle VPP?

We’re starting to look more closely at Axle VPP, which is currently in its Beta phase.

A VPP, or Virtual Power Plant, is a way of linking compatible home battery systems together so they can help support the electricity grid during selected energy events.

In simple terms, your battery may be able to do more than just store energy for your own home. When the grid needs support, compatible batteries can be used as part of a wider network, helping to balance demand at peak times.

Axle currently shows compatibility with a number of battery and inverter platforms, including:

✅ Sigenergy
✅ Fox ESS
✅ GivEnergy
✅ SolaX Power
✅ Solis
✅ SolarEdge

For homeowners, this could potentially mean:

✅ using your battery more intelligently
✅ supporting the grid when demand is high
✅ possible extra earnings for taking part
✅ making better use of the system you already have installed

As this is still in Beta, the features, availability, compatibility and returns may change as the platform develops. It will not be suitable for every system or every customer, so it is worth understanding properly before signing up.

This installation has been a long time in the planning, and we're pleased to finally kick off Stage 1 for Ian Oliver.

This first phase includes:

☀️ 6 x LONGi 480W solar panels mounted on a K2 flat roof system
⚡ 2 x AIKO 450W panels installed in tubs

A great start to what will be a fantastic renewable energy setup, with more to come as the project progresses. 👌

🏆 Community Support Fund Winners Announced 🏆

What started as a simple idea to support local organisations has turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

Over the past week, hundreds of votes have been cast, and countless people have taken the opportunity to highlight the incredible work being carried out across our local communities.

Firstly, we would like to thank every organisation that was nominated and every finalist who took part. The standard was exceptionally high and choosing a shortlist was incredibly difficult.

After reviewing and verifying the votes, we are delighted to announce that the three organisations selected to each receive **£1,000** from the **M+S Renewables Community Support Fund** are:

🌟 Miles for smiles
🌟 Newhall F.C.
🌟 Gresley Rovers FC

However, one thing became very clear throughout this campaign: every finalist is making a positive difference within our community.

For that reason, **every finalist will receive a donation from M+S Renewables**, recognising the fantastic work they do and the impact they have on local people.

In addition to the three £1,000 awards, each of the remaining finalists will receive a **£100 donation** from M+S Renewables.

The remaining finalists are:

🏡⚡ Another step completed on this fantastic home renovation project! ⚡🏡

We've been working alongside the customer over a number of months as their new home transformation continues to take shape.

This installation includes a Sigen Gateway, providing valuable backup capability in an area that can be prone to power cuts, helping to keep essential power available when it's needed most. 🔋⚡

We've also installed a Sigen AC EV Charger, allowing the customer to smartly charge their electric vehicle when electricity rates are at their lowest, making charging more convenient and cost effective. 🚗🔌💚

It's always great to be involved in projects like this and see everything come together as the renovation progresses.
