Top Tip Tuesday

Don’t just close the summer chapter. Review it.

After a busy summer, it is important to take time to look at the full picture. High footfall, hot weather and back-to-back sessions can all leave their mark on your site, equipment and team.

Use this period to review what worked well, what changed and what may need attention. Equipment, PPE, signage, staff feedback, incident logs, daily checks and inspection records can all help operators understand what needs following up.

A proper review now can help your site reset, recover and prepare confidently for the next wave of visitors.

Call for visual inspection of CLiC-iT for “C-ZIP LOCK”-pulleys & ensure that a backup safety lanyard is connected over the wire whenever the C-ZIP LOCK is in use.
CLiC-iT asked us to make the following information available to you:
Dear Customer,

We have been notified of a fatal accident that occurred in Turkey involving a C-ZIP LOCK pulley used in combination with a ZipSTOP braking system, without using backup safety layard.
At this stage, we are actively gathering information to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
We will provide further updates as soon as additional verified information becomes available.

As a precautionary measure, we ask all customers currently using the C-ZIP LOCK to immediately inspect their equipment, paying particular attention to:
Wear, deformation of the pulley, any cracks or damage to the housing surrounding the gate.
In addition, users should always ensure that a backup safety lanyard is connected over the wire whenever the C-ZIP LOCK is in use.

Please find attached the latest User Manual and Inspection Procedure, which should be followed carefully during inspection and operation.

Peak season might be easing, but this is still the time to pay attention.
After a busy summer, small issues can start to show. Worn areas, tired equipment, unclear signage, staff fatigue and small changes on site can all make a difference.
A simple post-season check can help you spot what needs attention before it becomes a bigger problem.
If your site has had a busy few weeks, now is a good time to review, reset and plan ahead.

This week looks a little different for C.Harris Consultancy! 👷‍♀️🌳

Charlotte is out on site completing a 5-day Operational Inspection Course with Capstone Inspections, taught by Paul himself.

Five days of hands on learning, developing technical knowledge and getting properly stuck into the operational side of inspections.

And, of course, we couldn’t be on site without capturing those all important shots along the way! 📸🎥

It’s a great opportunity to combine professional development with what we do best, creating authentic, behind the scenes content while gaining an even deeper understanding of the industry and the businesses we support.

Because the better we understand our clients’ world, the better we can market it.

Day 2 complete… plenty more to come! 💪
