After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to close Swansea Hub and take the website down. The page and Instagram will also be closing, and will remain live until Friday so everyone has a chance to see this announcement.

I want to say a genuine thank you to everyone who supported the idea — whether you followed, shared, listed a business, or simply took an interest. The intention was always to build something local and community-focused.

Not every idea connects or takes off in the way you hope, and while that’s disappointing, it’s also part of trying new things. I’m grateful for the lessons, conversations, and encouragement that came out of Swansea Hub.

Thank you again for being part of it, even in a small way. I really do appreciate the support.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 are:
• the Gower Access Path across Clyne Common
• completing the shared use path between Gowerton and Penclawdd
• creating safe routes to schools

As part of our ongoing work to improve active travel in Swansea, 𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐩.

The map shows the locations of barriers across the area. You can zoom in and out, and clicking on a pin gives more detail about the issue and its WheelRights reference number. We hope this will be useful in helping people highlight real, on-the-ground problems to the Council as part of the Active Travel Network consultation.

We’re back! 🛹🔥

Join us TOMORROW from 11AM–1PM for our Beginners Session. £15 for two hours including skateboard coaching. All wheels welcome, but strictly beginners only.

This is followed by our Open Session from 1–4PM.
All wheels welcome including skateboards, scooters, inline skates, quads and bikes.£5 for an hour or £10 for anything longer.
