Agadir & Taghazout update for today and the next 5 days:
Agadir is looking warm and very pleasant for early June, with daytime temperatures around 27°C to 31°C and mild evenings near 18°C to 21°C. The forecast points to plenty of sunshine, low rainfall, and a steady coastal breeze, so it’s a great stretch for beach time, sightseeing, and outdoor cafés. Of course we may have a little morning mist but this is usually gone by lunchtime.
Taghazout outlook:
Taghazout is also in a good window for a coastal break, with warm, mostly sunny conditions and light to moderate winds that should keep surf conditions interesting. If you’re heading that way, mornings and late afternoons are the best times for outdoor plans, while the post midday sun will be strong.
Interesting tourist info:
If you're looking for evening entertainment and a lovely dinner one of our favourites is Le Nil Blu. We will post a little more about this place on our page later so stay tuned.
Tourists often enjoy Paradise Valley, Agadir Oufella Kasbah, Souk El Had, the marina, Crocopark, and Taghazout Bay. For a more local experience, a Moroccan hammam, a seaside meal, or a day trip inland are all good options. You can find many day trips on our sister site welcome2taghazout.com
Taxi tip for Agadir:
The easiest way to get around is usually a red petit taxi for short city trips. It’s smart to agree the fare before you set off as some drivers won't put the meter on for tourists, for airport runs or longer journeys, booking through a hotel or a trusted provider can save hassle.
Money update:
The Moroccan dirham is currently around 1 MAD = £0.081. That means 100 MAD is about £8.10, and 1 GBP is about 12.3 MAD.
Travel tip:
Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a light layer for the evening, and plenty of water. If you’re sightseeing, early morning or later afternoon is the most comfortable time to be out because the sun is strong later in the day in June.
