OMG this was the contract showing all the marks , dents and scratches on the hire car I picked up last week in Spain !!🛻

I realised what the car hire company's business model was very quickly as the lady at the desk said
" Would you like to take out our comprehensive insurance?"
" You won't have to pay the €1,100 excess holding fee if you do"

How much is your insurance for the week I asked?
"€250 plus tax !!! "

No thank you was my response 🤬

"Please check the car over before you leave the car park and point out any damages not on the contract to our representative before you go. if you do not ,you will be charged. we do not accept videos or pictures after you leave the very dimly lit car park !!""😭

So there you have it ..........the car was a pretty cheap rental and the upsell is the really expensive insurance after an hour wait to be served.

What's wrong here is that they really did go to town on checking the car when it was returned ,,,, I believe they were looking for a way to claim and using your urgency to get going on your holiday to trip you up.

The car was obviously an older higher car maybe 4 -5 years old so it has paid back the initial investment easily with interest by now.

The rental fee wasn't huge but add in the insurance and they were making good money !

It's a business model that i don't agree with however there are a few doing this so be carful when you hire a car !!

Hi

Here’s a little bit about the opportunity that I have taken from one of Pat Slattery’s talk.

You have definitely had opportunity come to you at some point in your life.
Have you let that opportunity pass you by and then seen someone else, later on, who took the opportunity?
You could have had the results they had if you had taken action at the time.

Action V’s Inaction

It’s really that straightforward.. They took action and you didn’t!

What is the impact of inaction?


You are angry that you never took that opportunity.
You find you have no time as you are constantly trying to trade time for money.
You feel overwhelmed at all the month left at the end of your money.
Frustration that you see what could have been your results.
And more…

What is the impact of action?

Acting when an opportunity comes up will help you towards your financial freedom.
You will live a happier life.
You can have quality and quantity time.
You might want to travel more.
You would like to have better relationships.
Most of all you will feel a sense of achievement, achieve your goals, and feel worthwhile.

Life is not designed to give us what we want.
Life is designed to give us what we deserve!
We do not reap success because we need it.
We reap success because we deserve it.

Doors of opportunity are open to those who continuously knock at them.
You don't deserve it if you are knocking at the doors to find answers

Choice not Chance.
Making a choice is not waiting for chance to come around,
Ask yourself where you would like to be in 5 years.

You are where you are today because of the choices you have already made so far.
I will say that again….
You are where you are today because of the choices you have already made so far.
You are choosing your outcomes.

We have been conditioned to believe we won't achieve because:
I have no experience
I have no money
I live in the wrong place
I don’t have the knowledge

I could have ticked all of these. Only I refused to accept that was my reality and that’s how I changed my reality.

There is always room to improve things.
Be careful what you ask for!!

Time for Change

So, what have you had enough of?

As soon as you decide this, your life will change.
Ask yourself, are you willing to change?
Ask yourself, when will you make that change?

You will then create new goals, and new habits.
You will develop plans for success.
