Yesterday, the curtain fell on one of the most extraordinary careers sport has ever known.
As leapt out of the saddle for the final time, fittingly finishing with a winner, it felt right to pause and simply say thank you.
It is an absolute privilege to work alongside a talent of this magnitude. Not just a world class jockey, but a global ambassador for racing, a showman, a competitor, and above all someone who made people feel something every time he pulled on the silks.
Frankie did not just ride races, he created moments. Moments that stopped crowds, lifted grandstands, and made people fall in love with the sport over and over again.
From a 15 year old boy chasing a dream in Italy to a career spanning nearly four decades at the very top, racing has been richer, louder and more joyful because of you. The memories, the big race days, the laughter, the sheer theatre, they belong to all of us now.
On behalf of the entire horse racing community, thank you for the joy, the inspiration and the magic. Thank you for the sacrifices, the miles travelled, the risks taken, and the passion shown every single time you went to post. And thank you for reminding us what is possible when talent meets belief and a deep love for the sport.
You leave the saddle having given racing everything, and then some.
