Jason Goldsworthy, our Executive Contracts Director and Armed Forces Representative, had the pleasure of representing TCFM at the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK’s annual Rivalry Cup in the Altcar Training Camp this weekend. It is a privilege to be able to attend and sponsor events such as these, and congratulations to Surrey Cadet Force, who took the trophy and will go on to represent the UK at the international Cadet Cup in 2027 in Hungary.

Our Armed Forces Representatives, Jason Goldsworthy and Mike Legg were both cadets before starting their careers in the military and have the following to share about what the cadets mean to them:

“My own journey started as a cadet back in 1981 and ultimately led to a 26-year career in the British Army, so I’ve seen first-hand the impact these programmes can have on young people. They build confidence, discipline and leadership skills that stay with you for life. As organisations in the facilities management sector, we have a real opportunity to support initiatives like this and help develop the next generation of talent.” - Jason Goldsworthy, Executive Contracts Director

“I joined the cadets at 15, and looking back now at 53, I can honestly say it stood me up well. A lot of what it gave me stayed with me throughout my 23 and a half years in the RTR. It gave me discipline, confidence, and direction at the right time in my life. That is why I think opportunities like this matter. It is a pleasure to show support to them where I can.” - Mike Legg, Operations Manager

We are incredibly proud to share that TCFM has been awarded the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award 2026.

This recognition is an important milestone for us and recognises our commitment to recruiting, developing and supporting the Armed Forces community, including Reservists, veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and the spouses and partners of those serving.

For TCFM, this is about more than recognition. It is about doing the right thing for people who bring valuable skills, experience, resilience and perspective into the workplace. These qualities benefit our colleagues, our customers and our wider business every day.
We are proud to stand alongside the organisations recognised this year, and we strongly encourage other businesses to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and consider the positive role they can play.

World Environment Day reminds us that protecting our planet requires real action and measurable change.
We integrate environmental and social considerations into the way we support our customers and communities every day. Through sustainable innovations such as Toucan Eco and Soap2o sachet systems, we are helping reduce waste, minimise transport emissions and remove unnecessary plastics from operations.
The world produces over 400 million tonnes of plastic waste every year, with less than 10% recycled globally. By replacing traditional chemical bottles with water-soluble and refill-based alternatives, organisations can significantly reduce single-use plastic consumption while lowering fuel use linked to transportation and storage.
Innovation in FM is not just about efficiency, it’s about creating smarter, more responsible ways of working for the future.

At TCFM, people sit at the core of everything we do. This Pride Month, we continue our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
Our values of Respect and Care guide how we support colleagues, customers and communities every day. We know that creating inclusive, supportive environments helps people thrive and strengthens the services we deliver across every site we support.

As part of this ongoing commitment, LGBTQIA+ awareness forms part of our mandatory Diversity, Equality and Inclusion training for all TCFM colleagues. We have also introduced policies such as our Gender Transitioning Policy to help protect and support members of the LGBT+ community, alongside mandatory gender identity and expression training for managers.

We maintain zero tolerance towards discrimination or prejudice in any form and remain focused on building workplaces where everyone feels safe, supported and able to belong.

We wish all our colleagues, especially those within the LGBT+ community, a happy, safe and inclusive Pride Month.
