Jason Goldsworthy, our Executive Contracts Director and Armed Forces Representative, had the pleasure of representing TCFM at the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK’s annual Rivalry Cup in the Altcar Training Camp this weekend. It is a privilege to be able to attend and sponsor events such as these, and congratulations to Surrey Cadet Force, who took the trophy and will go on to represent the UK at the international Cadet Cup in 2027 in Hungary.
Our Armed Forces Representatives, Jason Goldsworthy and Mike Legg were both cadets before starting their careers in the military and have the following to share about what the cadets mean to them:
“My own journey started as a cadet back in 1981 and ultimately led to a 26-year career in the British Army, so I’ve seen first-hand the impact these programmes can have on young people. They build confidence, discipline and leadership skills that stay with you for life. As organisations in the facilities management sector, we have a real opportunity to support initiatives like this and help develop the next generation of talent.” - Jason Goldsworthy, Executive Contracts Director
“I joined the cadets at 15, and looking back now at 53, I can honestly say it stood me up well. A lot of what it gave me stayed with me throughout my 23 and a half years in the RTR. It gave me discipline, confidence, and direction at the right time in my life. That is why I think opportunities like this matter. It is a pleasure to show support to them where I can.” - Mike Legg, Operations Manager
