🚨 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞🚨
Our company director, Owen, is embarking on a personal challenge to raise vital funds for 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, a charity supporting veterans' mental health. His mission is driven by alarming statistics and the need for more awareness and support for those who have served.
A study by 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, "Su***de after leaving the UK Armed Forces 1996-2018: a cohort study," reveals that 𝟏,𝟎𝟖𝟔 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 took their own lives between 1996 and 2018. More recently, the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 reported that in 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝟐𝟓𝟑 𝐞𝐱-𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞. These numbers are heart-breaking, and the need for action is clear.
Owen’s challenge begins on 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, with ferry tickets already booked. His goal is to raise funds to ensure veterans get the mental health support they desperately need. Here’s how your donations can help:
£𝟐𝟕 could fund a veteran’s call to Combat Stress’s 𝟐𝟒-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞.
£𝟑𝟖 could allow a 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 to provide 1:1 support during treatment.
£𝟖𝟕 could fund a 𝟏:𝟏 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭.
£𝟏𝟏𝟐 could cover a 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭 for a veteran.
£𝟐𝟓𝟎 could pay for 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 to have an appointment with a psychologist.
Any donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Even 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 can help spread the word and potentially reach a veteran who’s struggling.
