It’s a friendly, jargon-free place for older adults, carers, people living at home later in life, and anyone less confident with tech. We’re Dementia friendly, and the Tech Cafe is a great place to have conversations about how technology can support people to stay safe, connected and independent at home.

Ever wondered what GSM means when choosing your printing stock? 📄

GSM stands for grams per square metre. It’s a measure of paper weight, helping you understand how light, sturdy or substantial a sheet will feel.

As a simple guide:

• Around 120–150gsm is often used for lighter leaflets and everyday printed sheets.
• 300gsm and above gives you a more substantial feel for business cards, covers and heavier work.

Micron is slightly different: it describes the thickness of the paper rather than its weight. Matching the stock to the job can make a real difference to how your print feels, looks and performs.
