Watch out for asbestos paper lined lino.... If you notice a white/pale grey paper on the underside of lino, stop and get it tested. You can always give me a call for advise. .

Don't forget a homebuyers survey just looks for the structural integrity of a building, the surveyor isn't there to spot any asbestos........
If you are buying a property that was built anywhere between 1930s to 1980s you are more than likely to have some.

After receiving a few calls today about building works inside properties i thought i would share it with everyone....
You must get an asbestos survey done before any major building/renovations works are started, most good builders know this but the majority of builders/homeowners don't. The survey would pickup any asbestos inside the property before it gets knocked down, therefore protecting the builder/homeowner from any protentional hazards.
