Thank you to charity supporter Esme for spotting our logo and sending us this photo from her visit to All Things Wild! Despite not having lions in their collection this has not stopped this small zoo from becoming involved in conservation efforts to promote coexistence between lions and communities in East Africa.

Last year, Conservation Officer Elijah built this replica Boma and created the signage that you can see here to go around their goat enclosure. This highlights the challenges that people face who live so close to wild lions with an emphasis of our work supporting Kope Lion . The team also sent us a donation of £738 in September towards our Better Bomas Project which has seen the creation and strengthening of 10 bomas over the last few months through KopeLion.

We are very grateful to the team at All Things Wild for their support and look forward to continuing our relationship with them!

🐾 A great day at White Post Farm for our recent 'Farm to Zoo' workshop.

The event brought together farm park operators and industry professionals to explore the process of transitioning to a zoo and securing a zoo licence.

👏 Thank you to White Post Farm for hosting us, and to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions. It was encouraging to see so much engagement and a shared commitment to high standards of animal care and visitor experience.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting our members as they develop and grow 🐮

Another successful workshop for our members!💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today for our Keeper Experience & Social Media Workshop at The New Forest Wildlife Park! 📱

We had another packed schedule filled with engaging talks, hands-on activities, valuable discussions, and plenty of opportunities for our members to share experiences, ideas, and best practice while networking with colleagues from across the sector. 🌱

What an inspiring day at our Native Species Conservation Workshop, hosted by Hobbledown Epsom! 🌿

From insightful discussions to hands-on activities, the day was packed with networking and knowledge sharing focused on strengthening native species conservation and education across our incredible community of small zoos. 🐝

Our small but mighty zoos have the power to connect our communities to our native wildlife and be part of the solution to bringing back our most vulnerable native species. 🦉

Highlights included practical sessions on dung beetle surveying and camera trapping, alongside engaging presentations on bat surveying, education initiatives, and simple but impactful ways we can all enhance our zoo environments for local wildlife. 🪲

A huge thank you to the fantastic Hobbledown team for being such warm and welcoming hosts, and to all of our wonderful members who joined us. It was a brilliant turnout and a truly valuable day for everyone involved.
